Enhanced Daily Learning Plan

The Enhanced Daily Learning Plan describes three (3) steps to use aLEAP (a Learning Efficiency Analysis Paradigm) to organize a lesson. The plan is based on relationships among research findings about how people learn described in aLEAP. It permits teachers to compare findings of how people learn with educational software programs as well as with their instruction during a lesson. The plan may be used with online and face-to-face lessons.

The Enhanced Daily Learning Plan adapts the aLEAP model in order to optimize student academic performance. Refer to this guide to identify how closely your instruction matches how people learn. Instructions (sequences) are adapted from several learning research results known to improve student outcomes. The initial framework of questions is adapted from Terman and Merrill (1960). Sequencing and scaffolding models emerged from these principles of learning.
