The Hope for Education program challenges students, teachers, parents or anyone who knows of a school in need to write a 100 word essay.
Theme: The importance of technology in education, and how it can benefit a school in their community.
Evaluation: An independent committee will judge essays.
Winners: Earn various awards of Samsung and Microsoft products for their designated school.
In the three years since its inception, the program has awarded U.S. schools over $5,000,000 in Samsung electronics and Microsoft software.
31 individual winning essay writers will each receive a Samsung UMPC.
